?It?s formed by binding ageing and wear resistant high-elasticity rubber with stiffener steel plate. It is a combination of rigidity and flexibility. The internal steel plate can withstand a comparatively big load and is sufficiently strong in vertical direction. Expansion and displacement of the bridge deck is accommodated for through shearing deformation of the rubber. This device is provided with expansion channel for reducing horizontal counterforce, which can also prevent the device from arching up and reduce the pressure on the pier when it is under compression.?
