Product Performance: It is a hygroscopic colorless oily liquid with a weak characteristic odor of acetone. It can completely dissolve in water, acetone, carbon tetrachloride and ethanol, and decompose in hot alkali liquor.

Product Uses: GBL is used to produce 2-pyrrolidone, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone and polyvinyl- pyrrolidone. It is an ideal antioxidant, plasticizer, extracting agent, absorbent, dispersant agent, dye fixing agent and coagulator. In medical and pharmaceutical industry, it is used as an anesthetic and antalgic, the intermediate of vitamin and rolicyprine. In agriculture and forestry fields it is widely used as the intermediate of plant growth promoter and pesticide.
