The 3-step system includes includes an Antibacterial Cleanser with benzoyl peroxide, an Exfoliating Gel with salicylic acid, and a Healing Crème with hydroquinone and Regenetrol Complex.
The Antibacterial Cleanser gently removes surface oils and cleanses the skin to prepare it for the Striae® Exfoliating Gel and the Healing Crème. The Cleanser's active ingredient is benzoyl peroxide, a well-known acne fighter. This ingredient kills bacteria and loosens surface cells and plugs, making it ideal for acne prone skin that is very sensitive or irritated.
The Exfoliating Gel loosens plugs that have accumulated in pores and caused infection. It removes excess oils from deep pore areas and gets rid of acne-causing bacteria. Striae® Exfoliating Gel contains salicylic acid and glycolic acid. Salicylic acid clears acne lesions and improves the condition of the skin to help prevent future blemishes while glycolic acid helps to loosen up pores and break down cell bonds.
The Healing Crème is a unique product that combines two acne-healing ingredients to calm the skin and clear up residual marks caused by the infection. Regenetrol Complex® is a patented formula of natural botanicals that soothes irritation and removes redness of the skin. Hydroquinone lightens the infected area by blocking enzymes that create dark pigmentation on the skin, quickly and effectively removing the dark spots that acne blemishes leave behind.
The Striae® Infrared Light Therapy Unit produces light rays in the spectrum range of 405-420 nanometers. This type of light has been shown to be effective in treating acne. The Striae® Infrared Light Therapy Unit produces light rays with wavelengths ranging from 400-750 nanometers. Light rays at this frequency convert porphyrins, a substance produced by acne bacteria, into an acne-killing compound. The acne bacterium actually turns on and fights itself! Additionally, a light ray in frequencies of 680, 730, and 880 nanometers has been shown to help all types of wounds to heal. Because the Striae® Infrared Light Therapy Unit produces light rays of a wavelength of 400-750 nanometers, it also helps to heal the scars and marks of acne more quickly.
