ALCUA DB-1, ALCUA DB-2 (ACQ AWPA type B) is alkaline copper quaternary (ACQ*) wood preservative for all types of impregnation (dipping, spraying, vacuum-pressure in an autoclave). it is intended for the increased protecting of wood from rotting, mold, blue and insects during exploitation indoor and outdoors in the especially heavy terms of moistening, protracted influence of atmospheric or soil moisture, at a contact with soil, organic wastes without any additional coating with varnishes and etc. 



*ACQ is a preservative made up of copper, a fungicide, and a quaternary ammonium compound (quat), an insecticide which also augments the fungicidal treatment is a wood preservative that has come into wide use in the USA, Europe, Japan and Australia following restrictions on CCA.



Way of action:



ALCUA DB-1, ALCUA DB-2 actively gets deeply into wood, forming in it thicker the three-level protective barrier sated with active components from insoluble in water of chemical complexes antiseptics and wood and other active target components which suppresses development of rotting process.



The wood treated by ALCUA DB-1, ALCUA DB-2 can be used for all above-ground, in-ground and fresh water contact applications (H1 to H5), where there is a medium to high risk of fungal decay or insect attack. The treated wood is suited to environmentally sensitive applications and close human contact. According to EN 335-1 wood treated by ALCUA DB-1, ALCUA DB-2 has Use Class 1-5.
