Muscle Wire is an extremely thin wire(think: human hair) made from nitinol (a nickel-titanium alloy), when conducting an electric current, the wire heats and changes to a much harder form, so, they are easy to use, and they can lift thousands of times their own weight. Muscle Wire is excellent for creating small movement in tight areas. Because it is so thin, it can fit in most places and can bend up to 90 degrees without contraction problems (and risk of breaking). In most cases, they don't use too much power, so a simple battery pack usually works well.Wires have many advantages: small size, light weight, low power, a very high strength-to-weight ratio, precise control, AC or DC activation, long life, and direct linear action.
