Astragalus Extract --- Astragaloside IV
Astragaloside IV is produced from the root of Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch.) Bge. Var. mongholicus(Bge)Hsiao , or Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch.) Bge.
[Active Constituents]The main constituents of Astragalus membranaceus include polysaccharides, saponins, Astragalus saponins, the main effective component of Astragalus membranaceus, have positive inotropic action; astragaloside IV, xylose-glucose-cyclo-astragenol (XGA), is one of the main active constituent of astragalus saponins.
[Appearance] Yellow Brown fine powder.
[Specification] Astragaloside IV: 0.3% , 5% , 10%, 20% , 90% , Detected by HPLC_ELSD ; Polysaccharides 15% , 50% , 70%.
[Health Benefits]
The polysaccharides found in Astragalus have been shown to play a role in immunomodulatory actions.
The saponins contained in Astragalus were found to have a positive effect on heart function by inhibiting the formation of lipid peroxides in the myocardium and decreasing blood coagulation . Astragaloside IV, has been found to have properties of increasing coronary flow and cardioprotection.
