It was registered as a joint stock company with limited liabilities from Zhejiang Administration for Industry and Commerce on March 28, 2007. Huadong aluminium, the biggest metal smelting and fabrication enterprise in Zhejiang Province, is the only electrolytic aluminium manufacturer who gets national authority and encouragement. The registered capital is 0.4 billion Yuan, total assets is 1.13 billion Yuan, net assets is 0.58 billion Yuan and the total occupation area is 780 thousand square meters.
Huadong Aluminum’s predecessor was the Zhejiang Aluminium Factory, which was the accented term assorted to Xin’anjiang Hydroelectric Station under “the Second Five-Year Plan” of China. Now it is a member of China Aluminium Group, the largest nonferrous smelting (processing) enterprise in East China. Huadong Aluminum has an ability of producing 150,000 tons of electrolytic aluminium, 70,000 tons of aluminium and aluminium processed products annually.
