Automatic cleaning of cylindrical vessels with open top and bottom outlet by means of rotating brushes and solvent flushing. It is used in the paint, printing ink, general chemical and adhesives industries. It is suitable to clean vessel diameters from 600 mm to 1200 mm with same machine. The construction is simple and therefore reliable.
Automatic cleaning process.
Easy exchangeable brush system.
Tightly sealing lid with special seal material.
Pneumatic operated tilting platform.
OPERATION
1. The elevating screw in vertical column lifts the circular lid with spraying nozzles and brush assembly together to the upper position which is the starting position of the machine.
2. The mixing vessel is placed under the brushes on the platform. The vessel does not need top be accurately centered because the brushes will adjust themselves into position.
3. The hose for draining the solvent is connected to bottom drain valve of the vessel.
4. The cleaning program is switched on.
The lid is lowered until the vessel opening is totally closed. The vessel is clamped in position by downward force exerted by the lid. The lid lowering system automatically stops when this position is achieved.
When the lid lowering stops, the brushes commence rotating and the solvent pump starts to pump wash solvent from the storage tank. During cleaning period wash solvent circulates from vessel to wash solvent storage tank. The rotating brushes, automatically adjusted to the diameter and the height of the vessel, cleans inside surfaces, cylindrical wall and flat bottom. The brushes are pressed to the vessel walls by centrifugal force. Solvent is sprayed at low pressure into the vessel. Cleaning sequence is ended after pre-set time is reached. Washing period depends on the items to be washed, the contamination, as well as the wash medium. After washing period, rinsing sequence commences with the clean solvent. The rinsing solvent is pumped, and returned to the wash solvent tank. This period ends after a proper set time is reached.
The lid is raised about 250-300 mm up from the vessel top. Exhaust ventilation commences to remove vapor fumes from the washed vessel for minimal VOC emissions.
Tilting platform of about 5° inclination provides complete draining of the vessel.
After pre-set time the lid assembly is raised to upper and first position, thus automatic cleaning cycle ends.
The control panel of the unit is mounted on a suitable place adjacent to the machine.
On request Ex-proof executions are available.
Solvents, caustic soda and water are used as washing fluid, depending on the type of residue in the vessel.
