RAIL STEEL COMMODITY ( R50 - R65) FOR SALE
We offer CIF for USD170, CNF for USD150 (ASWP), FOB for USD85 per metric ton excluding USD10 per metric ton for cutting services.
Terms/Conditions of Payment: The buyer is expected to pay to our company for the commodity supplied within seven days on its arrival at the destination port otherwise known as the port of discharge and we prefer payment by telegraphic transfer (T/T) instead of LC because of the fiscal policy in Nigeria. We know that some buyers usually prefer LC because of the cost of transfer (COT) associated with telegraphic transfer and to this end, we always advise our buyers to deduct such charges from the total amount due to be paid to our company while making the transfer.
Loading Port: The loading seaport is 'Cotonou Port' in the Republic of Benin which is the boarder seaport to Nigeria because of the stringent measures in the Nigerian seaports.
We would want a situation whereby you will come to Nigeria and inspect the commodity and if satisfied, you will then be required to sign sales/purchase agreement with our company and we commence shipping. We don't want a buyer that will come and sign contract with our company and it takes weeks or months for the transaction to actually commence because we have a time frame within which we desire to sell the commodity.
On the issue of photographs of the commodity, we have recent photographs of the commodity available in our office but we have stopped sending photographs of the commodity to buyers and/or agents through internet as we recently discovered to our greatest surprise that most agents use such photographs to scam potential buyers and in most cases rip them off. Given this development, we therefore prefer inviting buyers to come for physical inspection of the commodity and the buyer will be allowed at the inspection site to snap or take as many pictures as may be necessary during the inspection. Please, kindly understand this position very well.
Please, note that presently we sell rail steel only; we don't offer HMS1 & 2 and our minimum offer is 15,000 metric tons. The chemical composition and/or specification of the commodity are as follows:
Mn: 0.60 – 1.05
C: 0.54 – 0.82
Si: 0.18 - 0.12
S: 0.04Max
P: 0.035Max
As: 0.01% Max of Mass Share; AND Cr: Residual.
Specification : Used Rail: R50(51.67KG/Meter) – GOST 7173-55
R65(64.72KG/Meter) – GOST 8161-75 (ISRI 200 – 206)
Length, Width & Weight: 12M to 12.5 M; Width: 5.5 inches; Weight: 437.5Kg.
No fishplates or steel pieces or bolts are attached to the used rails. All rails are clean and straight. No pitting. Only atmospheric rust. No heavy rust.
We shall get back to you with the FCO as soon as we receive your LOI but equally note that we deal with our potential buyers on the basis of first come; first serve and you may do well to act fast in reaching a decision on this explanation.
